Toolbox for Uptake of GBL
Online set up of an interactive web-based users guides and tools for adaptation and adoption of learning games. Tools will support stakeholders by providing arguments and improving their capacity to evaluate and select effectively games that are appropriate for their specific context, taking into account also cultural and localization issues.
Decision making tool for practitioners
The decision making tool is a set of online instruments that will help teachers to select games and types of game with respect to the application context, local and cultural issues.
The decision making tool will also use the quality criteria, elaborated within SIG-GLUE, which can be applied to determine the pedagogical value of games and game-like resources.
The aim of the tool is to support teacher to find suitable resources and to determine and argue the value of these resources for pedagogical purposes.
Reduction of Learning Curve tool
The Reduction of the Learning Curve tool is an online tool for teachers, compiled from a set of tips and tricks and FAQs concerning how to start, play and interact with various types of games. This will help teachers to learn faster how to play and use a game thus reducing their preparation time and enabling them to exploit the resource for application in the class.
The tool will be based on web 2.0 technology, enabling later expansion of the the content i.e. tips and tricks and FAQs by teachers, users.
Both of these tools are currently under development and will be available soon.
